![]() The spreadsheet will automatically highlight the lowest price in green to indicate which retailer or retailers have the lowest price. I'll play it by ear with how it will play out this year.įor those of you who are new or just need a refresher, here's how it works. I'll once again create a separate spreadsheet for Black Friday and Cyber Week, but last year Cyber Week seemed a bit dull and mostly repeats of Black Friday and it wasn't very useful to have a separate Cyber Week spreadsheet. The spreadsheet continues to be a hit and has once again returned. This also looks to be the first year that both the PS5 and Xbox Series X will be widely and readily available during the holiday season only to have a new redesigned PS5 around the corner and the rumors of a Switch 2 and PS5 Pro as early as next year. These deals could sell out before made to the public too so weigh that possibility when seeing a deal locked behind a paid membership. Beware that some deals may be locked initially behind paid store programs in order to entice people to join. You can always buy later from one retailer and return that item to the original place you purchased as long as they are exactly the same item. Be sure to take note of and advantage of the holiday return policy as a form of price protection rather than wait for a possible better deal and miss out on a current sale. You can expect various retailers to also be spreading their deals throughout the weeks leading up to the actual Black Friday. Lately, for the last few years, the deals have been starting a lot sooner and Best Buy have announced that theirs will begin at the end of October for Pro and Total Members. Let us enjoy this year and how many few years we might have left as it seems clear that these deals will be a thing of the past some day. Black Friday physical deals has where it's been at and without that, Black Friday just won't be the same. The most notable recently has been the news that Best Buy will stop selling physical movies early next year and Walmart is started to drop Xbox physical games in stores. You may have noticed a double meaning to this year's thread title as we're in an interesting and sad period where physical sales are declining enough that some retailers have started to drop them all together. This year, Black Friday is set for Friday, November 24th. ![]() We are once again upon that time of the year again where the deals are plentiful but what's in our wallets might not be. ![]()
